- No. SmietRin has no accounts, no sign-up and no login — the list’s link is all you and the people you shop with need.
- Is SmietRin really free?
- Yes — completely free, with no ads and no premium tier. It always will be.
- Can I scan product barcodes?
- Yes — turn the scanner on in the list’s settings and it reads a product’s barcode with your camera and adds it to the list, photo included. Scanning happens entirely on your device, and a product you’ve scanned once is recognized again even offline.
- Can the list follow my supermarket’s aisle order?
- Yes. Items group by aisle, and every store you add has its own walking order — discounter and full-range presets included. Or drag items into your own order: SmietRin learns where things belong and places new ones there.
- What happens to my list?
- A list left untouched for 30 days is deleted automatically, along with everything in it — that’s the privacy story as much as the tidiness story.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. SmietRin is a Progressive Web App — it keeps working without a connection in the store and syncs the moment you’re back online.
- Do I need an app store?
- No. SmietRin installs straight from your browser — tap “Install” (or, on iPhone, Share → Add to Home Screen) and it behaves like any other app: its own icon, full-screen, works offline. No store, no account, nothing to download separately.
